1. Which was my best artwork this semester? Artist work in series, because it turned out exactly how I wanted it to be.
2. Which artwork would I like to redo? I would like to redo my Artist Steal artwork because i did not like how I envisioned it and i did not like the outcome of the painting. 3. What is something I've learned in art class that I can apply to work in other classes or outside of art? In art class whenever we make an artwork we need to use some studio habits and those are definitely some things we can use outside of class and even in the real world. 4. What is one thing I wish we could have done in art? I wish we could have done something around like "reimagining."

For our project we had to work in series, in which you have a multitude of canvases and they all interlock with each other, whether that be it is the same image but in different colors or different images but come together. My artwork is kind of like a puzzle, they are their own piece but when together they form a whole image. I used for the animals just a trace, and then colored them what colors I think their spirits would be. For the moon I used the lid off of an Ice cream jug. My idea behind this piece was to show that predator and prey they are able to connect through the light of the moon. This piece is actually my favorite project we had to paint.
Our next project is called artist work in series, it is where we have 3 or more canvases and they can be different but they have to connect somehow. I love animals, so i am going to incorporate animals into it. But how they would connect is through the moon. For animals I think I am going to have an Elk, Wolf, Bear, and Buffalo. But each animal will be different colors.
For this project we had to create an artwork based off of what we think artist observe. For my artwork I did my piece based off the thought that artist observe time. And what i mean by that is, a lot of artists create their pieces based off of time. My artwork is different pieces of time, going clockwise from the bottom left square about what i think are major historical events. The meteor hitting earth wiping all the dinosaurs out(bottom left). We sailed across the sea and discovered America(top left). During the Great Depression, Disney created the first animatronic film(top right). And then the Coronavirus that swept across the entire planet(bottom right)
I created this piece digitally using ProCreate. My whole concept of this piece was to take pieces of time and kind of combine them to show that artist do in fact use history/time to their own artworks. I really do like this piece, it is definitely not my favorite. I would have like to create more shadings to each of the sections, especially in the Disney and the Coronavirus sections. Since we are close to the holiday season and to do something to bring up that christmas spirit, we did some christmas drawing activities. We had a variety of different topics to choose from, but i found it to be interesting to do the digital Gingerbread Man House in google drawings.
For this type of artwork you definitely need to Engage and Persist, you need to understand what happened through time and need to know what were some major time periods. You also need to be able to almost Reflect on what you can do and be able to match it with time.
I feel like the worst case of Appropriation would have to be Andy Warhol's Campbell's Soup Cans, because he didn't necessarily change anything about the the product all he did was multiplied the amount of cans there were. And the best case of appropriation would be Damien Hirst's Hymn, because of the fact that he donated to two charities.
For our first actual project we are supposed to take an artwork and modernize it. In my last blog post I explained more on what I was coming up with and what the whole artwork is supposed to represent. I have my artwork here it is not finished because i lost all interest in this piece. I was really excited about the concept of the artwork but i just lost interest. What i wanted to do was to have Carol Baskins holding Tigger up and in the background I would have the 100 Acre Wood, with a cage to signify that she is trying to take Tigger.
How does Roy Lichtenstein elevate a children’s book illustration to the level of high art in Look Mickey? Lichtenstein elevated the illustration by taking an image from a children's book and by kind of remodeling it and making it his own perspective of the illustration.
How do Pop Artists use Appropriation in their art? Pop artists are able to appropriate an artwork by borrowing another artists artwork and interpreting their own way by not disrespecting the artist's original. Why do some people believe that Warhol’s prediction “In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes” has come true? The people think this because, if Warhol is able to create an artwork of only a can of soup and multipying that can and he can become famous then what is to stop anyone for being famous, especially on the Internet. For our first project we have to create an artist steal, by choosing an artwork and modernizing it. I am going to be taking an artwork and modernizing it. The person holding the tiger will be transformed into none other than, Carole Baskins. And to modernize it even more the tiger and the elephants around the person will be Tigger and the rest of group.
